Appointment of Tuuli Korjus significantly enhances Amerikka’s property development and sustainability expertise

Tuuli Korjus joined the Amerikka team as a development manager at the start of June. Tuuli’s new role will see her developing projects and processes at Amerikka with a particular focus on real estate economics and sustainability. She will ensure that we are better placed than ever before to manage projects fully from initial analysis to final concept implementation. To achieve this, she will be working closely alongside our fantastic conceptual planning and design teams.

Architect and property developer putting end users first

Tuuli’s academic credentials are impeccable, having studied both property economics and architecture at university. Prior to starting at Amerikka, she was responsible for project development at Finnish construction company YIT. During her career to date, she has been able to gain valuable insights into both the technical and commercial aspects of property development. Tuuli firmly believes that the end-user must remain at the heart of all property development activity. For a project to be truly successful, everyone involved must be committed to this idea, she says.

Sustainable project development

“The built environment is hugely impactful in terms of our efforts to manage climate change. Climate considerations will play an increasingly important role in shaping property development activity, and a thorough understanding of sustainability will be vital as we move forward,” Tuuli says. At Amerikka, we have recently launched our own in-house sustainability project. Tuuli will be responsible for implementing its objectives across our property development projects. This will allow us to fully support our clients, as they seek to optimise their sustainability performance..
